Parker McCollum credits Randy Travis as the reason for his favorite Christmas movie.
The βBurn It Downβ country star reflected on some of his favorite holiday memories from his childhood, growing up in Conroe, Texas. McCollum remembered getting together with his family and playing football in his grandmaβs front yard every Christmas morning, into his teen years. When he wasnβt playing football, the award-winning singer-songwriter β like many people β has favorite Christmas movies he watched throughout his life.
One of them, he admitted, might βsound kind of goofy,β but itβs because of a country music legendβs contribution to it.
βFavorite Christmas movie β this is gonna sound kind of goofy, but one of them is definitelyΒ Annabelleβs Wish, because Randy Travis narrates it,β he said, per his record label. βI used to watch that when I was really little with my mom, but I mean,Β Christmas VacationΒ is a phenomenal movie. And I always really liked theΒ Santa ClauseΒ series with Tim Allen. I always thought those were really good, even the newer ones.β
Annabelleβs Wish released in the late 1990s. The animated holiday film also features Jerry Van Dyke, Jay Johnson, Jim Varney, Rue McClanahan, Cloris Leachman and others, in addition to the βForever and Ever, Amen" legend.
